After breakfast leave for Sigiriya. En-route visit the Elephant Orphanage at Pinnawela. A unique sanctuary in the world for orphaned elephants. Afternoon Optional visit Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka’s first ancient capital from 1st century B.C. to 10th century A. D.

SIGIRIYA/ POLONNARUWA/ SIGIRIYA
After early breakfast climb Sigiriya rock fortress. Declared as the 8th wonder of the ancient world. Afternoon visit ruins of Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka’s 2nd Kingdom – popularly known as the medieval capital.

SIGIRIYA / DAMBULLA / MATALE / KANDY
After breakfast leave for Kandy visiting Dambulla Cave Temple – famous for wall & ceiling paintings. Visit a Spice garden & a Batik factory on the way. In the evening witness the Cultural show & Fire-walking.

Visit Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya early morning with a city tour. Visit to a Gem shop & lapidary during shopping. Evening visit Temple of the Tooth – the holiest of the holy places for Buddhists throughout the world.
